In Russia, Saratov

Finally we arrived in Russia, in complete pieces, ourselves and bikes. Now we are in our first Russian city–Saratov, we stay with our first couch surfing host Elena.

Last months was full of struggles and at the same time we met plenty of super friendly Kazhaks. We didn’t take any rest days in Kazhastan for 3 weeks to catch up our schedule, until my body was too tired, and she gave me a fever that I couldn’t move at all, then we rested under a tree for almost a whole day.

After Kyrgzstan, there were a lot of crazy private cars. Now in Russia, it seems that there are even more crazy cars! Will I survive for another 4000kms on bike?

Plenty of stories to tell, but no energy to say. I want a real “rest day," but even so-called rest days are stressful and busy. And as usual, you always have to talk to the friends you meet. Rest day is finished, then maybe another 2 weeks of cycling to Ukraine…
